Sunderland’s Carson set for Hull loan

Sunderland goalkeeper Trevor Carson is set to join Hull City on loan according to reports.

Tigers boss Nick Barmby is hoping to bring in the 23-year old after signing Arsenal’s Vito Mannone short-term as he deals with some injury issues in his keeping ranks.

Carson, who joined Sunderland in 2004, has had a number of loan deals with the likes of Chesterfield, Lincoln City, Brentford and Bury since arriving at the Stadium of Light as a teenager.
