Sunderland boss Steve Bruce hopes none of his international players pick up injuries this week.
The Black Cats have John Mensah and Asamoah Gyan playing for Ghana against England tonight after the travelled from Congo on the weekend and Bruce just hopes that his squad is not hit with any further injuries.
"That's your biggest worry over the weekend and during the week is let's have an injury free if we can and make them all come back," he told BBC Newcastle.
"Make no mistake, certainly the Ghanaians would be extremely tired of the jaunt that they are having but the game is on Sunday which will help us enormously."
Sunderland have had a number of players out with long-term injuries this season including Anton Ferdinand, Kieran Richardson, Sulley Muntari, Fraizer Campbell and Michael Turner but Bruce is at odds to explain why he has had so many missing.
"We've trained them physically well. With Muntari, is it a calf, is it an Achilles, we're not quite sure," he added.
"The thing that's happening with all of them is it's happening in the game itself. If it was happening in and around training, the first thing you would analyse is 'Are we doing too much or are we not doing enough?'. But there's nothing conclusive.
"The injuries we have had are trauma injuries which you can't do anything about and it is a disappointing thing for me that we have been without six or seven for months.
"Believe me, I have asked every question and overturned every stone to see if we can try and stop this if we possibly can."
