Sunderland defender Wes Brown has had his red card rescinded.
The Black Cats man was sent off in the 36th minute of their 2-0 loss to Stoke City for a challenge on Charlie Adam prompting the Wearside club to appeal the decision.
The FA have opted to let Brown off the hook meaning the former Manchester United man is free to play in their next fixture against Aston Villa.
"With regard to [Wes] Brown, who was dismissed for serious foul play during Saturday's game at Stoke City, the claim was upheld," read a statement released on the FA's official website.
"As a result, his three-match suspension has been withdrawn with immediate effect."
