Sunderland have joined the battle for Wigan Athletic midfielder Momo Diame.
Diame is off contract and seen talks with Liverpool revived in recent days after the appointment of new manager Brendan Rodgers.
However, Sunderland are also in the frame with Diame now a free agent.
