Sunderland are moving for FC Groningen defender Virgil van Dijk.
The Daily Mail says Van Dijk also has interest from Newcastle and Everton, but Martin O'Neill is hoping to hold off the competition.
Van Dijk said yesterday: "I'm aware of the interest of a few clubs and Everton is one of them."
