Sunderland face missing out on Tottenham striker Darren Bent.

The Mail on Sunday says Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is keen on Portsmouth striker Peter Crouch, but has been told he must sell if he wants to meet their £12 million asking price.

This could lead to Redknapp including Bent, who has held talks with Sunderland, in an offer for Crouch.
