Sunderland defender Stanislav Varga appears to have played his last game for the club after Burnley extended his loan, says The Shields Gazette.
The 35-year-old Slovakian, who joined the Coca-Cola Championship side on a month's loan at the start of January, will stay at Turf Moor for the rest of the campaign with no call-back clause in the deal.
Varga, who was one of manager Roy Keane's first signings after his appointment in August 2006, is out of contract at the end of the current campaign and has not figured for the Wearsiders this season.
