Sunderland have released Stoppila Sunzu from his trials.

The Zambia defender arrived in Lusaka on Monday and was due to hold talks with TP Mazembe owner Moise Katumbi about his future.

Sunzu impressed Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill during his 10-day trial, though injury restricted him from showing his best in a scheduled friendly.
