Sunderland are eyeing Portsmouth striker Peter Crouch.

The Daily Star Sunday says Black Cats manager Steve Bruce sees the giant forward as the player to launch his revolution at the club.

And one Premier League boss revealed: "I was interested in Crouch at one stage but Sunderland are really hot for him."

Portsmouth want around £10million for Crouch, who upset the club by saying he wanted "reassurances" amid the uncertainty at Fratton Park.
