Sunderland are ready to upgrade Jack Colback's contract.

The People says they are set to reward midfielder Colback, 21, with a bumper pay rise for becoming an important part of Steve Bruce's first-team plans.

Colback, at the club since he was 10, is on around £200,000 a year - and the Black Cats don't want his head turned elsewhere.
