Sunderland are hoping to solve their striker crisis by bringing in Ricardo Fuller from Stoke City.
The Black Cats lost Darren Bent to Aston Villa earlier this month and have been left with just Asamoah Gyan and the injured Danny Welbeck as their only out-and-out attacking options.
Reports suggest that Sunderland will make a revised offer of £3million for Fuller - who has been struggling with knee and shoulder problems in recent times - after being initially interested right after Bent left.< p> The Jamaican international is believed to be favouring a move as he is not a regular in Tony Pulis' line-up whilst Sunderland's Steve Bruce would love to have him at the Stadium of Light and is hoping for a deal to be finalised before the end of the transfer window on Monday.
