Sunderland youngster John Egan is excited about his move to Crystal Palace.

The 19-year-old defender joined the Eagles for a month recently and made his senior debut in the 1-0 defeat at Derby County in the FA Cup with Budweiser.

"I see this move as a great opportunity to get a couple of games under my belt," Egan told safc.com.

"It's good for my development to come out on loan to see what senior football is all about. I believe I can cope with it."
