Connor Wickham's future at Sunderland remains clouded.
The Evening Chronicle says Wickham will be pressed over his intentions ahead of a pivotal January window.
It was a risky move both for the player and the club to allow his contract to run down to the last six months - with interest in him dependent on his form between now and the New Year.
The player has already deferred a decision on a long-term deal that was offered to him and Sunderland will sell him in the New Year if he has not made a decision.
