Sunderland are planning a raid on relegated Northeast rivals Newcastle United.
The Sun says Sunderland are keen to snap up Danish attacker Peter Lovenkrands, who is off contract at the Toon.
Lovenkrands' agent admitted yesterday that he hoped to find a new Premiership club for next season.
