Sunderland are chasing Fenerbahce pair Raul Meireles and Moussa Sow.
The Journal says Turkish sources report Sunderland are set to launch a joint bid of £18 million for Meireles and Sow.
Former Liverpool and Chelsea midfielder Meireles is keen on a return to England.
Whole striker Sow, who has been a long-term target for Liverpool, has long hoped for a Premier League move.
