Sunderland are preparing a bid for Liverpool striker Fabio Borini.
The Daily Star Sunday says he has just returned to Liverpool after being on loan to Sunderland last season.
Sunderland boss Gus Poyet wants him back and a £8m bid for the Italian, 23, is expected.
