Sunderland will target West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce at the end of this season.
Allardyce, a former Sunderland defender, comes off contract at West Ham in June.
The Sun says Sunderland want Allardyce to replace Dick Advocaat this summer.
They are ready to offer the 60-year-old a £2m-a-year deal until 2018.
