Youth team coach Craig Liddle has left Sunderland.
The Evening Chronicle says the former Darlington caretaker-boss joined the Wearsiders as professional development lead coach last summer but has been axed after less than 12 months.
Liddle's departure is part of a wide-ranging review of Sunderland's football operation, which has already seen chief scout Pop Robson leave the club along with much of his scouting network.
