Sunderland owner Short wears 'F*** the Mags' badge

Sunderland owner Ellis Short has invited controversy by being snapped wearing an anti-Newcastle United badge.

The Daily Mail says the Texas businessman was pictured with the label bearing the letters 'FTM', which are commonly used by Sunderland fans to represent the phrase 'F*** the Mags'.

He was showing Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, President of Tanzania, the club's facilities at the weekend after it was revealed they are to assist in the establishment of an academy in the east African country.

The billionaire chairman visited a fanzine shop called A Love Supreme in March and bought around six badges, which he had said he would wear to business meetings.
