Sunderland midfielder Jordan Henderson has been linked with big money moves to Manchester United and rivals City, but according to Black Cats chairman Niall Quinn only an outlandish offer could persuade them to sell the England starlet. Quinn has stressed that boss Steve Bruce will have the final say on whether Henderson would leave the Stadium of Light and only then if an "extraordinary" bid had been made.
"It (an offer) would have to be something extraordinary, absolutely ridiculous, because he represents everything that our academy is about," said Quinn.
"And even then, if Steve Bruce didn't want it to happen then no-one would put an ounce of pressure on him."
Henderson has this week confirmed his intention to still be at Sunderland next season and Quinn feels the 20-year-old is at the best place to develop his burgeoning career.
