Sunderland open Palermo talks for Abel Hernandez

Sunderland have opened talks with Palermo for striker Abel Hernandez.

The Daily Star says Hernandez scored just one goal in 14 games last term, with a cruciate ligament injury wrecking his campaign.

The Black Cats have already brought in four players from clubs in Europe on free transfers and are now focusing on forwards.
