Sunderland No2 Eric Black says they're delighted with the talent coming through the youth system.
Craig Lynch made his senior debut during the 2010-11 season while players such as Billy Knott and Blair Adams have figured on the substitutes' bench.
"It's great that the reserve and youth teams have done so well," Black told safc.com.
"The staff continue to produce good players and they deserve a lot of credit for that.
"The more players they can produce the better the manager has it in terms of selection.
"If they can keep doing that as they have done in previous years then the club will be a better place for it."
