Cardiff City are demanding £5 million for Jordan Mutch.

The Evening Chronicle says Sunderland will have to activate Mutch's £5m release clause if they are to prise him away from Cardiff.

The Black Cats have already had a £3.5m bid knocked back for the attacking midfielder, and are considering coming back with an improved offer.

The 22-year-old only has 12 months left on his contract, but the Bluebirds have indicated they are not looking to sell.
