Sunderland move for Zaragoza's Luccin

Real Zaragoza midfielder Peter Luccin is interesting a host of clubs across Europe, with Sunderland said to be hot on the Frenchman's trail.

Luccin has been told that he is free to leave La Romareda over the summer and his representatives have begun their search for a willing taker.

Luccin is under contract with Zaragoza until 2010, but following the club's relegation to the Segunda Division they are desperate to trim their wage bill.

His former clubs Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille are thought to be leading the hunt for his signature, while Roy Keane's Black Cats are also keeping tabs on the situation.

Zaragoza have made it clear that they will not let Luccin leave on the cheap and are prepared to hold out for the best possible price and he is expected to command a £4million fee.
