Sunderland midfielder David Vaughan admits he's proud of his screamer in victory over Blackburn Rovers.
The goal - Sunderland's equaliser - came in spectacular fashion just six minutes from time as Vaughan picked up a clearing header 25 yards from goal and thundered a powerful shot into the net beyond a helpless Paul Robinson.
"It probably ranks up there at the top," admitted Vaughan on safc.com.
"It was a good goal to score given the time and importance of the occasion, being the manager's first game.
"The ball came to me and I just decided to hit it. There's been a few times recently when I should have had a go but didn't, so I thought I'd go for it and see what happened.
"Luckily I caught it well and it flew in."
