Sunderland winger Jordan Henderson was delighted to prove their matchwinner in victory over West Ham United.
Henderson's 33rd-minute goal lifted Sunderland back into seventh place as they began a congested December schedule with a fourth home win of the season.
"I enjoyed it out there and I thought the team were very good in the first half," Henderson told safc.com.
"West Ham came back into it in the second half but overall we are delighted with the three points.
"It was great to get my first goal of the season as well. It's always great to score, but I haven't really done it this season so it was brilliant to finally get one."
