Sunderland are continuing their pursuit of Bolton Wanderers captain Kevin Davies today.

The Daily Mail says Sunderland will make an improved offer for Davies after Bolton rejected their initial £250,000 bid.

Black Cats boss Martin O'Neill said: "We will see where we stand later on. We would have to organise something with Bolton first of all and at the moment, we seem to be apart in those aspects. But perhaps later on, I might have a better idea."
