Sunderland have reportedly made a bid for in-demand Ipswich Town striker Connor Wickham.
The Black Cats have offered more than £8million for the 18-year old according to Sky Sports as they continue to search for a striker replacement for Darren Bent who left for Aston Villa in January.
Reports earlier today indicated that a proposed initial bid of £13million was agreed upon but more recent news suggests that Sunderland have thrown in less than £9m for the England U21 international who is also being tracked by Liverpool and Arsenal.
