Sunderland have opened talks with Swansea City for South Korea midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng.
The Daily Mail says Sunderland are discussing a deal to take Ki on loan from Swansea.
The 24-year-old joined Swansea last August for £5.5million from Celtic and made 38 appearances.
However, he is being used more as a substitute and Michael Laudrup will consider letting him go with view to a permanent £6m deal.
