Released Bolton Wanderers striker Kevin Davies is being linked with Sunderland.
The Sun says Sheffield Wednesday are favourites for the 36 year-old.
The hitman is also being tracked by Sunderland, Hull, Blackpool and Wolves.
But he believes a switch to the Owls would give him the best chance of first-team football.
