Sunderland boss Roy Keane has won the race for Southampton striker Kenwyne Jones.

The Sun says Jones, 22, will talk personal terms over the weekend after slapping in a transfer request at St Mary's. Sunderland have a £6 million offer accepted by Saints.

He will now join up with former England striker Andy Cole, who has signed a one-year deal at Sunderland after joining from Portsmouth on a free transfer.
