Sunderland summer signing Keiren Westwood impressed for the reserves in their 2-0 win over Swansea City.
Westwood made his first reserve appearance and looked comfortable, keeping a clean sheet and putting in a commanding display in difficult conditions.
"It was good for Keiren to get 90 minutes under his belt," coach Keith Bertschin told safc.com.
"He speaks well and keeps the back four on their toes when he has to. He does all the things you expect a keeper of his calibre to do.
"I think he feels better for the game too."
