Sunderland keeper Pickford ahead of schedule...and won't be sold!

Sunderland manager David Moyes has gone on to reveal that star goalkeeper Jordan Pickford will not be sold at any price.

Sunderland have endured another difficult Premier League campaign so far but one of the positives for the Black Cats was brilliant performances of young Pickford in goal, prior to the knee injury he sustained in late December.

Due to his fine form, Pickford has been attracting the interest from a number of clubs but Moyes has gone on to categorically state that the young custodian will not be sold by Sunderland anytime soon.

Moyes also suggested that Pickford could be back in action before the end of the month.

"Jordan is doing well and we think he could be ahead of schedule," he said.

"We certainly don't think it is going to be eight weeks. He feels good, but that can only be really tested once he's back at it.

"I've got no interest in selling Jordan. He's too good, he's a big asset for this football club, a really big asset.

"Because of that, maybe the time will come when we have to do it, but if we do, it'll be [at] a premium."
