Sunderland keeper Pantilimon pleased with Everton point

Sunderland goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon was happy with their 1-1 draw against Everton.

Sebastian Larsson's 67th minute free kick was cancelled out by Leighton Baines' spot kick eight minutes later and Pantilimon, who almost got a hand to the penalty, acknowledged that both teams deserved to take something from the game:

"It was a much-deserved point," he told safc.com. "We worked very hard in the game and we performed well together as a team, I think overall the result is a good one for us.

"It's very important to keep picking up points, especially in the manner we did today, it was a hard fought game and Everton are a difficult team to play against."
