Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has only been at the caper for nine years!

Just nine years ago the 23-year-old, now firmly established as Martin O'Neill's No 1 on Wearside, was a midfielder, turfed out by local club Sint-Truiden.

"I grew very quickly," the 6ft 3in Belgian told the Daily Mail.

"Because of my size they said I would not be quick enough to make it so they sent me back to a local club."
