Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet wants to see Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel make a comeback!
With the return of retired stars en vogue, Mignolet was asked on Absolute Radio who he would like to see return.
"It's difficult to say because when I was a young kid I was playing outfield instead of in goal, so the early stages of my career I was always looking to outfield players more than goalkeepers, but if it has to be a goalie I think I'd always say Peter Schmeichel from Man United." "Oh, that's a difficult question because I've only been here two years. I don't know, to be fair, who's in retirement here and who can help the squad forward, but like you say, players of the likes of Thierry Henry and Paul Scholes are still players of a high level, so I think they can help their teams out. So I don't know who's going to help us out, shall we say," said the Belgian.
Listen to Chelsea v Sunderland this Saturday 14th January on Rock 'N' Roll Football, only on Absolute Radio extra - on DAB Digital Radio, 1215AM and online from 1.30pm, and for the full interview with Simon Mignolet.
