Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet expects an electric atmosphere for their derby clash with Newcastle United.

The 24-year-old was taken aback by the wall of noise that greeted him on Halloween 2010, and in the return he watched from the bench. He is expecting more of the same this week.

"The noise inside the stadium at kick-off is unbelievable really," he said.

"I still remember the first derby I played, I was chatting to my defenders but they couldn't hear me, it's that loud."
