Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet insists manager Martin O'Neill is the right man in charge.

Mignolet has given O'Neill his full support.

He said: "He knows what is needed and he is experienced enough to deal with these kind of situations - he knows what he is doing.

"He still instills you with a lot of confidence. That is certainly what he has done with me.

"When I got injured I played my first game after just five training sessions and that gave me a lot of confidence to come back and do my best."
