Sunderland goalkeeper Craig Gordon says Paulo da Silva can be a big asset for the club.
The Paraguay defender is expected to start tomorrow's game against Tottenham in the absence of John Mensah.
Gordon told the Sunderland website: "Paulo's a consistent performer who likes to play a passing game. He's got good experience of international football and is captain of a country which is going to the World Cup.
"He has probably not played as many games as he would have liked but he will come in and do a job, no problem."
