Sunderland keeper Fulop turned down Man City return

Manchester City are keen on re-signing Marton Fulop from Sunderland.

The Sunderland Echo says City were interested in the Hungarian who impressed while on loan at Eastlands as emergency cover for the injured Shay Given at the end of last season.

But Fulop knows he would be third in the pecking order behind Given and Joe Hart at City and first-team appearances are far more important to him than the financial incentives the mega-rich club can offer him.

For that reason, he will snub City and look to join a club where he can achieve his dream of being the recognised and established number one.
