Sunderland goalkeeper Marton Fulop is happy he missed out on a move to Stoke City in the summer.

Now the Black Cats No1, Fulop said: "I don't mind that Stoke couldn't sign me, but I didn't mind it at the time either.

"I got a better chance at Sunderland. This is a huge club with the fifth biggest attendance and with one of the best sets of fans in the Premier League. It is a magnificent feeling to play in front of them.

"I'm very happy here and I hope that I can play for Sunderland for a long time."
