Sunderland are showing considerable interest in a loan deal for Arsenal's Joel Campbell.
The Daily Star is reporting that Black Cats boss Gus Poyet will go after the 22-year old Costa Rican forward if he is unsuccessful in signing Fabio Borini back from Liverpool.
Poyet is eager to bring Borini back to the Stadium of Light following his impressive loan last season but will turn his attentions to Campbell if that deal does not go through.
Campbell, who spent time on loan with Olympiakos last season, starred for Los Ticos at the 2014 World Cup and is now eager to force his way into Arsene Wenger's first team at the Emirates Stadium.
