Sunderland striker Connor Wickham is set for a loan move away.

Sky Sports says up to half-a-dozen Championship clubs have made contact with Sunderland, who are now assessing the options.

Sunderland and manager Gus Poyet want Wickham to play on a regular basis, and that is believed to be the main consideration when it comes to deciding which club he will join.
