Sunderland are joining the battle for QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar.

Black Cats boss Paolo di Canio is in the market for a new keeper after selling Simon Mignolet to Liverpool.

The Journal says reports in Italy claim Sunderland are considering QPR keeper Julio Cesar as a replacement for Mignolet. But they are unlikely to match the 33-year-old Brazilian's £80,000-a-week wages.
