Sunderland boss Ricky Sbragia is joining the battle for Hearts captain Christophe Berra.
Sbragia is moving for Berra with Paul McShane struggling with a hamstring pull just two games after his return from Hull City, and George McCartney building his fitness.
Wolves have already had a £2 million offer turned down by the Jambos.
