Sunderland have joined the race for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.

The Sunday Sun says the powerhouse Belgian striker is one of the hottest properties in the Premier League after scoring 17 goals while on loan at West Bromwich Albion last season.

Lukaku is keen to stay at Stamford Bridge but realises that he is unlikely to play regular first-team football there - at least in the short-term, as Chelsea's big-money frontmen Fernando Torres and Demba Ba are ahead of him in the pecking order.
