Sunderland are eager to find a buyer for Ji Dong-Won.
The Daily Star Sunday says the South Korea striker is out of contract next summer and could be offloaded in the new year, with a string of German clubs interested.
Ji, 22, impressed on loan to Augsburg last season and was the subject of a £5million summer bid from Borussia Dortmund.
Hamburg, Stuttgart, Freiburg and Borussia Monchengladbach are all keen on Ji.
