Sunderland are believed to be determined to lure Tom Huddlestone from Tottenham.
Black Cats boss Paolo Di Canio is showing considerable interest in the 26-year old midfielder and is willing to offer £5million to Spurs according to the Daily Mail.
Huddlestone has made just 22 Premier League appearances over the past two seasons, mainly due to injury, but could be keen to move on from White Hart Lane in search of regular first team football.
