Sunderland are set to deal in fullback Phil Bardsley.
The Daily Star says Sunderland are set to open new contract talks with Bardsley.
The Scotland defender's current deal runs out at the end of the season, and manager Gus Poyet is keen to tie the former Manchester United full-back down for the long term.
