Sunderland are in talks with Hamburg for Michael Mancienne.
Former HSV chief Lee Congertan has just taken charge of football matters at Sunderland and is set to make Mancienne his first signing.
The Sun says Sunderland are hoping to complete a £2 million deal for the former Chelsea defender this summer.
